Interview on Dash Radio, The Razor on Los Anarchy August 16, 2016

My Interview on Dash Radio The Razor on Los Anarchy on August 16, 2016 with Andy Ford and Elizabeth Aston was about my featuring local metal bands and friends in my comic book series. (Enthraller, Mesmeric, Sacred Ruins, Madrost, Arachnigod, and Highland, and promoters Metal Invictus and Metal Warzone.)

Basically it started when there were existing scenes in the script that needed “background actors”, one scene was a band playing in a club so I featured Mesmeric. One scene had a cemetery so I featured “Sacred Ruins” as the cemetery name with their logo. And Chris Draven from Arachnigod and Tanner Poppitt from Madrost came up with the suggestion of Madrost vs Arachnigod and there was a scene of vampires fighting each other over bodies in Issue 6, so I drew them beating each other with their own instruments. And I featured Enthraller and Highland as vampires.

I hope it helps promote the bands. It’s my way of supporting. I don’t charge them to be in the comic book. It’s for fun. I’m turning my friends into vampires or I’m brutally decapitating them. Or as Andy Ford from The Razor says, my vampires are “killing” metal bands in my comics. Brutal.

Comics Creator Lia Scott Price Publishes Vampire Guardian Angels Issue 6

Comic book creator and writer Lia Scott Price has just released Issue 6 “Immortal’s Reliquary” of her Vampire Guardian Angels comic book series. 

This issue is also Price’s debut as a first-time comic book artist. The interior pages were drawn by Price. "I've always wanted to draw my own characters, so I took a year of drawing lessons and decided to draw this issue and future issues as well.", says Price. "But I still had two amazing artists to help me with the inking and the cover."  

Issue 6 is inked by artist Andrew Huerta, who also drew and inked the cover art. The colorist for Issue 6's cover is Chad Hammontree.  

Vampire Guardian Angels is a creator-owned, independent and original horror-action comic book series with a fresh twist to vampires who are featured in an unexpected form: As Guardian angels who have become new breed of vampire and serial killer who hunt down humans who pray to them. “Do you really know who you are summoning for help? Could be one of my Vampire Guardian Angels.”, says Price. “They’re hungry, rebellious, bloody and vicious. Don’t pray to them.”

Price also appears as a vampire character in the series, and will be signing Issue 6 at Stan Lee's Comikaze  Expo 2016. Issue 6 also features cameos by Los Angeles metal band Madrost, and black metal bands Arachnigod and Highland.
