About The Comic Book Series:

Lia Scott Price’s Vampire Guardian Angels is a creator-owned comic book series written and created by Horror Author Lia Scott Price. In the series, Guardian Angels from Heaven have become Vampires who kill people who pray for help to them, and both humans and “good” angels have to work to stop them.

What are Vampire Guardian Angels?

When you pray to guardian angels, do you know what they are? What if they were a vicious new breed and hybrid of serial killer, angel and vampire who target those who pray for help to them? Because they are tired of protecting us and want to put us out of our misery, by eating, and enslaving us. Don’t pray to them.

The Story:

The comic book starts off with a flashback to Joseph as a young child and how he and Cameron were responsible for Gabriel's death, and how he sent Gabriel back to Heaven with a mysterious power of light. It also reveals and gives a back story on how Cameron became a Vampire (from Dominion, Book 3), and how he acted as Joseph's stepfather while dating his mother Christina. Cameron follows Gabriel through the portal of light that remained after Gabriel ascended to deliver him back to Heaven. However, he finds that Heaven has been invaded by a Vampire, and that Gabriel has rapidly turned into a Vampire. Gabriel proceeds to bite all the other angels, turning them into Vampires. Heaven becomes a bloody mess. Gabriel bites Cameron, who falls back to Earth through the still-open portal, sparing him from burning up.

But Gabriel tries to follow without the portal, and as the light dies, he burns but survives, becoming horribly disfigured. Gabriel has a reason to risk the descent and go back, because he wants to kill Joseph. He wants revenge.

Cameron is united with Christina, but he ends up turning into a Vampire and killing her. Cameron ends up biting a young Joseph in his sleep.

Years later, Joseph is visiting his mother's grave, and has been searching for his mother's killer for years and suffers from anger issues. Gabriel later finds and attacks Joseph in a nightclub, but is saved by an Earth Vampire named Catharina, who distracts Gabriel, and by Kirkland, who sacrifices his life to save Joseph from Gabriel. Catharina reveals to Joseph that she is a Vampire and that Joseph is also a Vampire, and that he is also a "legend" among the Vampires and Vampire Guardian Angels as a "Killer of Angels" because of his power to send Angels back to "the light". Gabriel later attacks Catharina but is saved by Cameron.

Cameron later meets Joseph back at Christina's grave and reveals that he accidentally killed Christina, turned Joseph into a Vampire, and begs for Joseph's forgiveness. He tells Joseph that he acted as Joseph's stepfather and protector since he fell to Earth and even though he became a Vampire, he still secretly watched over Joseph. Cameron also tells Joseph about Janos and his plans to take over Earth, and that Joseph had a choice: stop Janos and protect humans as Cameron was doing, or become a potential ruler of the Vampire Guardian Angels.  Angered, Joseph's strange power of light that he used to send Gabriel back to Heaven comes back, and he tries to destroy Cameron with it, but sees a vision of his mother and stops.

Cameron tells Joseph that his power can stop Gabriel. Joseph and Cameron soon confront Gabriel. Using his growing power of light, Joseph once again manages to turn Gabriel into a ball of light, but Gabriel disappears, not ascending. Cameron, who sacrificed himself to save Joseph, is dying, and Joseph seems to have forgiven him. He turns Cameron into a ball of light and Cameron is allowed to ascend back to Heaven, saving his own life.

At the end of the story, Joseph finally bares his fangs, revealing himself to still be angry at Cameron, and he seems to make a choice between whose side he plans to be on. Although it is assumed that Joseph destroyed Gabriel, a pair of mysterious glowing eyes is seen in the darkness.
